What This Role Does
  • Lead the behavioral and psychological science that sits at the core of Sozo — you are the person who ensures the human agency focus stays rigorous and defensible
  • Design and run the empirical validation program that proves Sozo works — real studies, real participants, findings that hold up to peer review and clinical scrutiny
  • Build and direct the Phase 1 research lab of up to 150 people — researchers, clinicians, data scientists, and study coordinators running concurrent studies
  • If Sozo proves viable, lead the expansion to 1,500–2,500 person study programs — designing research architecture that maintains scientific integrity at that scale
  • Represent Kermati's science to clinical partners, enterprise clients, and the academic world
What We're Looking For
  • PhD in psychology, cognitive science, behavioral economics, or human-AI interaction — with a research record that demonstrates independent scientific leadership
  • Has run a research program — not just contributed to one. Experience managing teams and coordinating multi-study programs at scale
  • Understands how to design studies that produce results regulators, enterprise clients, and peer reviewers will trust — IRB experience, longitudinal methodology, clinical familiarity a strong plus
  • Quantitatively strong — comfortable with the statistical modeling that underpins behavioral measurement
