What This Role Does
  • Own the full technical architecture of Epoche — from the statistical inference engine to the enterprise-facing API
  • Lead the engineering team as it grows, including recruiting and setting technical standards for every hire beneath you
  • Translate a mathematically complete framework into a hardened, production-grade system — you bridge the gap between the spec and the shipped product
  • Be the technical voice of Kermati with enterprise clients, investors, and partners
What We're Looking For
  • Deep background in fintech or quantitative systems where production errors carry real cost — you understand regulated, high-stakes environments
  • Strong statistical and probabilistic modeling foundations — not just ML frameworks, but the math underneath them
  • Has shipped a live, enterprise-grade ML system — not just prototyped one
  • Reads a mathematical specification and builds from it directly — no translation layer needed between you and the problem
  • Python and at least one systems language, and the judgment to know which belongs where

Research Lab Director HAI PsyD
Psychology / AI PhD · Human Agency & Behavioral Science
What This Role Does
  • Lead the behavioral and psychological science that sits at the core of Sozo — you are the person who ensures the human agency focus stays rigorous and defensible
  • Design and run the empirical validation program that proves Sozo works — real studies, real participants, findings that hold up to peer review and clinical scrutiny
  • Build and direct the Phase 1 research lab of up to 150 people — researchers, clinicians, data scientists, and study coordinators running concurrent studies
  • If Sozo proves viable, lead the expansion to 1,500–2,500 person study programs — designing research architecture that maintains scientific integrity at that scale
  • Represent Kermati's science to clinical partners, enterprise clients, and the academic world
What We're Looking For
  • PhD in psychology, cognitive science, behavioral economics, or human-AI interaction — with a research record that demonstrates independent scientific leadership
  • Has run a research program — not just contributed to one. Experience managing teams and coordinating multi-study programs at scale
  • Understands how to design studies that produce results regulators, enterprise clients, and peer reviewers will trust — IRB experience, longitudinal methodology, clinical familiarity a strong plus
  • Quantitatively strong — comfortable with the statistical modeling that underpins behavioral measurement
  • Believes protecting human agency in AI-assisted decisions is worth doing rigorously — this is the scientific and ethical foundation of Sozo

What This Role Does
  • Open and close enterprise relationships for both Epoche and Sozo — starting with Finance and Life Sciences, the sectors where both products have the clearest immediate value
  • Bring real contacts to the table — not a prospecting list, but relationships you can call today in regulated enterprise environments
  • Build the commercial strategy alongside the founder — pricing, positioning, partnership structures, and the pipeline that takes Kermati from pilots to recurring revenue
  • Be the voice of the market back to the product team — what enterprise clients actually need shapes what we build and how we position it
  • Convert pilot interest into signed agreements — you know how enterprise procurement works and how to move it forward without losing momentum
What We're Looking For
  • Real, active contacts in Finance and/or Life Sciences enterprise — the kind you can pick up the phone and call, not just email
  • Track record selling technical SaaS or compliance infrastructure into large organizations — you know the procurement cycle and don't get rattled by it
  • Can explain a complex technical product to a non-technical buyer without losing them or dumbing it down
  • Has seen what happens when AI systems fail silently in high-stakes environments — believes the problem Kermati solves is real and worth solving
  • Comfortable building a sales function from the ground up — this is an early-stage company, not a Fortune 500 team

Calibration & Validation Science
The Role
  • Own the statistical validity of every risk score Epoche produces — if the numbers are wrong, the product is wrong
  • Design and maintain calibration and validation methodology across Finance and Life Sciences verticals — each has different error tolerances and both must be right
  • Run the benchmark programs that prove Epoche performs as claimed
  • Works directly with the CTO to keep statistical models sound as the system scales
What We're Looking For
  • Deep multivariate statistics and uncertainty quantification
  • Probabilistic calibration — knows what a well-calibrated model looks like and how to get it there
  • Has worked where statistical errors have real consequences — finance, healthcare, insurance, or equivalent
  • Academic or industry background both considered — the work speaks louder than the CV

  • Strong Python — production APIs with real users, not just prototypes

The Role

  • Build and maintain the data pipelines feeding the inference and calibration systems — clean inputs, reliable outputs
  • Own the MLOps layer — model versioning, deployment automation, drift monitoring infrastructure
  • Keep the system observable — logging, alerting, tooling that catches problems before clients do
  • What We're Looking For
    • Python plus ML deployment tooling — Docker, CI/CD, model registries
    • Data pipelines that run reliably in production — not just in a notebook
    • Detail-oriented — writes the test before the bug report arrives

  • Build the technical backbone connecting Epoche's AI-side output with Sozo's human-side behavioral tracking — in real time, at enterprise scale
  • Design the system to serve a 150-person research lab today and 2,500-person studies tomorrow — without a rewrite
  • Own the audit and compliance logging layer — every intervention and behavioral measurement captured and traceable
  • Work directly with the Lab Director to ensure the technical system produces data the research team can actually use

  • Streaming and distributed systems — real-time stateful computation at scale
  • ML system integration under SLA constraints
  • Python + Rust or Go for performance-critical paths

The Role
  • Build the software infrastructure the research lab runs on — study management, data collection, participant tracking, results processing
  • Tools that make the research team more effective — you remove friction from the science
  • Data integrity across concurrent studies — when 150 researchers are producing data simultaneously, the systems have to hold
What We're Looking For
  • Experience building research or data collection platforms — academic or industry both considered
  • Strong Python and database work with behavioral or clinical data
  • Works well with non-engineers — the research team's needs drive what you build
Compensation$135,000 – $165,000 + equity

Data Pipelines & Analysis Infrastructure
The Role
  • Build and maintain the data pipelines moving behavioral study data from collection through to analysis — clean, reliable, auditable
  • Support statistical and research teams with tooling at scale — dashboards, exports, automated reporting
  • When Phase 2 studies scale to 2,500 participants, the pipeline scales with them — build for that from the start
What We're Looking For
  • Data pipeline experience — ETL, transformation, delivery at volume
  • Python and SQL — strong fundamentals, not framework dependency
  • Has supported a research or analytics team before — understands what they actually need
